JMET 2011: IIT Delhi invites applications

The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, has invited online applications for Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET 2011) to be held on December 12 (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) across the country for admission to management postgraduate programmes including MBA offered at various IITs. The result of JMET 2011 will be published on January 3. Last date: October 8. The eligibility criteria to apply for the programmes at the various IITs are given below. Students in their final year of qualifying degree course are also eligible to apply.

IIT Bombay

Course offered: Master of Management (M.Mgt). Eligibility: First class Bachelor's degree holders in engineering or first class Master's degree in science with at least 60 per cent marks in aggregate can apply.

Candidates with M.Sc. degree must have 60 per cent marks in Bachelor' as well as in M.Sc. degree course.

IIT Delhi

Courses offered: MBA with focus on management system/ telecommunication systems management. Eligibility:

First class Bachelor's degree holders in any branch of engineering/ technology/ architecture/ pharmacy or Master's degree in physics, chemistry, mathematics, statistics, computer applications, electronic science, environmental science, operations research, computational/ information science, agriculture, commerce, economics with at least 60 per cent marks in aggregate are eligible to apply.

IIT Kanpur

Course offered: MBA. Eligibility: A Bachelor's degree in any branch of engineering/ technology with at least 60 per cent marks in aggregate.

First class B.Arch. degree holders can also apply provided they have taken mathematics at Plus Two level.

IIT Kharagpur

Course offered: MBA.

Eligibility: First class Bachelor's degree in engineering/ technology or first class M.Sc. degree course with mathematics/ statistics at degree level or first class in MA economics/ M.Com.(with mathematics / statistics at degree level) with at least 60 per cent marks.

IIT Roorkee

Course offered: MBA.

Eligibility: First Class Bachelor's degree in any branch of engineering/ technology or first class Master's degree in any discipline with at least 60 per cent marks.

IIT Khargpur

Course offered: Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM).

Eligibility:

First class Bachelor's degree in any branch of engineering/ technology or first class Master's degree in science, commerce, humanities and social sciences.

IIT Madras

Course offered: MBA.

Eligibility: First class BE/ B.Tech. degree in any branch or first class masters degree in any discipline.

Application fee for general candidates is Rs.750 and for SC/ ST applicants it is Rs.350.
