Self Confidence
None of you really know what hidden forces are lying dormant within you. You may not know your capacity for achievement unless you come into contact with the stimulus which will arouse you to action and spur you to greater action and move you with the deeper desire to achieve. The important thing is to think you can win because success begins with your state of mind and will.
To build your self-confidence, you must learn how to take responsibility. It does not have to be big. Start with small tasks you can do and move from there. The wanting to do something is important, but it is even more critical to not be afraid of mistakes. If you never do anything, you will never make any mistakes, but you will also not learn anything. What you must avoid is making the same mistake twice.
Others will believe in you if you believe in yourself. The fact that you have self-confidence gets transmitted to others around you. Your demeanour and body language would broadcast the fact, and people will respond to it and further strengthen your self-confidence.
Your self confidence comes from your belief in your skills and talent. You have to edit out your failures and focus on your achievements to maintain your self confidence. If you have confidence in yourself, your tenacity, hard work and capabilities, you will succeed.
People who believe they can succeed see opportunities where others see threats. They are not afraid of uncertainty or ambiguity. They embrace it because they want to take greater risks so that they can achieve more. Self confidence is the first secret of success. You have to trust yourself because when you do so you become quite remarkable. Of course, belief in yourself is no good without action. You have also to be enthusiastic about what you are doing. Your enthusiasm engenders better acceptance and appreciation of your action.
If you can mentally visualise yourself as achieving rather than failing, then you are most likely to succeed. Whenever a negative thought about yourself comes to you, cancel it out by deliberately voicing a positive thought. Depreciate every perceived obstacle and minimise them. If you don't you could end up blowing up your fears out of proportion. People lose confidence by inflating their fearful thoughts. Personal inadequacy creates misery. On the other hand, if you move ahead with determination and think positively at all times, you will not fail.
Having self confidence means having faith and courage so that the so-called impossible becomes possible. If you keep fighting and striving for improvement, and working hard, you are bound to succeed. Self confidence is the shot of adrenaline that burns out and eliminates fear completely.
Being confident is an ongoing process. It isn't a goal or an endpoint that you reach and then stop. As you keep playing to the best of your ability your confidence will always be there to support you.
