Golden Opportunity to Study B.Sc., Nursing in USA
A Twinning program in Nursing for the benefit of Indian students. A (2+2) year B.Sc., Nursing program is offered in collaboration with Saveetha University, where by the students do their first two years of study at Saveetha University in Chennai, India, and the next two years is spent in USA.
A team from Penn State University inspected the Saveetha University in October last year and has recognized the College of Nursing for the first two years of the course. This twinning program is a boon for students who wish to persue an internationally acclaimed degree as
1. The students get a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing by Pennsylvania State University, USA and become a registered nurse in USA. Their salary as a registered nurse is 4500 USD/month.
2. The expenditure to study a full four year course in USA is exorbitant. Therefore, the Penn State University has come forward to run a twinning program in collaboration with Saveetha University. As the students do their first two years in India, the monetary burden on the students is minimal.
3. The students get an Associate Science degree in Nursing at the end of three years and are eligible to work as Registered Nurses. As they work, they can support themselves and earn the tuition fee for the final (fourth) year of study.
